Battista Remati has more than 25 years of international experience as a creative director, designer, photographer and media producer in film, television, advertising and marketing and is founder of Luminous Flux a personal community arts project. He holds a BA Design, Sydney College of the Arts, Honors Degree Marketing, NSW Institute Technology (Sydney University) and a Masters Degree (Grad. Diploma) in Theatre Design from Melbourne University / Victoria College of the Arts.
“I decided upon luminous flux in recognition of the fact that the word “photography” derives from latin meaning “painting with light” - a glorious craft I fell in love with at art college and partly mastered in my time working in cinema. ”
The photographs taken and displayed on this site are primarily for pure art sake. If you find yourself in a photo or would like a digital copy of an image simply let me know and I can arrange to get that to you for free. For me it's about coins in the karma bank not the real one. Cheers!

Luminous flux is the quantity of the energy of the light emitted per second in all directions. The unit of luminous flux is lumen (lm). One lumen is the luminous flux of the uniform point light source that has luminous intensity of 1 candela and is contained in one unit of spatial angle (or 1 steradian).... so there you have it!
